Two Chairs Therapy Exchange - Matching

Therapists Supporting Therapists
Through Pro Bono Therapy Exchange

How the Exchange works

A pay-it-forward community where therapists give and receive care — just never with each other.

Create your profile

Tell us what you offer and what you need. Choose basic matching or opt into AI-informed matching to help suggestions reflect your preferences. Neither option determines clinical suitability.

1

Get matched — pay it forward

Our algorithm suggests introductions as a provider for one colleague and as a client with a different one. No one ever provides therapy to someone who is also their therapist. Matches run weekly (more frequent as we scale). You can also check your matches yourself up to three times daily.

2

Weekly matching cycles

Matches run on a weekly cycle and you can check for new matches yourself up to three times daily. As the community grows, matching frequency increases.

3

A match is an introduction, not a clinical recommendation.

Suggestions and preference scores reflect the information participants provide, not clinical suitability. You both decide whether to proceed; neither person is obligated to accept or continue.

Built for safety,
designed for trust

We know what matters to therapists because we are therapists. Every feature is designed with clinical ethics, privacy, and professional integrity in mind.

Thoughtful introductions

Matching considers reported jurisdiction, licensure, and conflicts. Therapists still verify eligibility and use their usual professional screening.

Pay-it-forward, not bilateral

You provide therapy to one colleague and receive it from a different one — never with each other. This protects clinical ethics and avoids dual relationships.

Weekly matching cycles

Matches run weekly and you can self-check up to three times daily. Frequency increases as the community grows.
